Long Island City-based HVAC Service Company seeks an HVAC Technician for an active service environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to (Essential Functions):

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, overhauls, and troubleshooting HVAC equipment
  • Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and in-house service team
  • Develop rapport with each customer to understand the right products, parts, and services needed
  • Identify revenue-generating opportunities; make recommendations to customers that can be immediately performed
  • Responsible for the timely completion of assigned work orders
  • Complete all work tasks in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Utilize all applicable safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE)

Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead Generation: Conduct research using web-based programs and other resources to
    identify new customers and business opportunities.
  • Marketing Support: Assist with telemarketing efforts, email campaigns, graphic design for
    promotional materials, and managing social media activities.
  • Quote Management: Follow up on service agreements, repair quotes, and construction
    projects.
  • Service Agreement Preparation: handle the preparation and processing of service
    agreements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in MS Office
    (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and general familiarity with a Windows environment.

  • Setting up appointments for Preventive Maintenance and Quoted Repair services
  • Providing status updates as relates to Technician response time, diagnosis and resolution.
  • Conducting follow-up correspondence to ensure Client satisfaction
  • Teaming with designated Dispatcher, assisting with the scheduling and coordination of Technician workload

Long Island City-based. Local 638B HVAC Contractor is seeking an equipment replacement specialist to join its Mechanical Team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the estimating, planning, mobilization, and management of unit replacement projects. All candidates must have at least 7 years of hands-on technical field experience; in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC Systems. Familiarity with Package Units, Split Systems, and Cooling Towers is required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Surveying existing field conditions and preparing a cost estimate for system replacements.
  • Assisting, as needed, with the purchasing of equipment and Subcontractor services.
  • Approving equipment submittals prior to the release of equipment from manufacturers/supply houses.
  • Outlining a time schedule for AFGO Labor and Sub-Contractors
  • Overseeing the productivity of all labor to ensure a successful project completion.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics for Field Service is preferable.
