Pre-Construction Surveys
A pre-construction survey is a form of legal protection for both the property owner and the contractor. It consists of an in-depth review,written report and photo documentation of the property pertaining to the pending construction site—and records any pre-existing damages or structural flaws.
A pre-construction survey also includes a series of measurements, configurations, and estimates critical to your project’s successful implementation.If after construction, the owner identifies damage caused by the contractors, he/she can refer to the pre-construction survey documentation. In that case, it is the responsibility of the contractor to repair the property or provide financial compensation.
However, if the building owner makes a faulty claim against the contractor, the pre- construction survey protects the company that provided the work.
